Parkinson Post Brighton

Charlton were well and truly hammered at The Valley on Saturday when Brighton & Hove Albion beat us 4-0.

Phil Parkinson didn’t feel that there was a lot in it before we gifted them the opening goal and subsequent goals that followed, Parkinson told BBC London 94.9: “They caught us by surprise by playing a diamond – but they didn’t hurt us until we gave them a sloppy goal.

“We handed them some basic goals and that cost us the game.”

The Addicks boss is now under pressure and the fans’ reaction after the game left him in no doubt as to what they felt, however he understood this reaction, adding: “I understand the reaction of the fans, I take full responsibility and any fans would have reacted that way across the country.”

Our next game is of huge importance, another defeat and that may well spell the end of his time at SE7.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on Phil Parkinson’s views following the Brighton defeat? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.
