Parkinson Post Barnet

Charlton’s name went into the hat for the second round of the FA Cup, however we’ll still need to overcome Barnet if we want to take this place following the 0-0 draw at Underhill on Saturday.

Phil Parkinson feels that we had the chances to have won the match but didn’t take them when we should. The Bees did put us under pressure in the end but we stood firm, Parkinson told BBC London 94.9: “I thought we dominated for long periods and had lots of chances to kill the game off.

“Barnet did come into it in the last ten to fifteen minutes and put us under pressure, but we didn’t put the ball in the back of the net today.

“When you don’t do that, you have to make sure you get a clean sheet.”

It would have been better if we could have finished the job with the first take, however with the replay taking place at SE7 we’d be favourites to progress but we could easily slip up!
