Pardew After Instant Response

Alan Pardew is looking for his Addicks side to bounce back from the defeat to Wolves on Saturday when Plymouth come to the Valley on Tuesday night.

On Saturday, although we certainly lacked the killer instinct the chances were still there to have taken a point, but it didn’t happen so now Alan Pardew is looking for the Addicks to right the wrongs from Saturday, he said, when speaking to the media after the Wolves game: ‘We didn’t hit the target enough and it’s something we spoke about in the week.

‘In terms of trying to get back in the game I felt we lacked a bit of devilment and a bit of purpose. Certainly during the late series of corners I expected to see a few of my Charlton boys attacking them, yet we didn’t.

‘Ultimately we came away not scratching our heads, but very disappointed we lost, and we’ve got to take that into Tuesday night.’

Plymouth will not be easy at all, so anyone that is expecting an easy three points better think again. Victory is of course more than possible, but a point would not be a bad return in my humble opinion.
