Oh Teddy Teddy

Alan Pardew is reported to be in talks with out of favour West Ham old boy Teddy Sheringham.

With Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink being released this week, Pardew see’s Sheringham as an ideal replacement. The former Spurs legend has been out of the team all season at Upton Park and if anything it will aid Teddy’s fitness for first team action next season.

Pardew knows Teddy well from his time with him at West Ham and he sees him as a big character who will help the youngsters to progress at the club.

Any deal is expected to involve a coaching role for the striker and Teddy seems happy with this arrangement.

One problem that could arise if Teddy joins the club is current Charlton striker Marcus Bent got involved with Teddy’s ex super model girl friend Danielle Lloyd. The two footballers have had a major fall out and it seems unlikely they will forge a super goal scoring partnership between them.

Do you think Sheringham would be a good Championship signing?
