Murray Warns not to Expect Too Much

New players are what Alan Pardew wants, and he will get one or two but in order to bring them to the Valley he will have to sell players first.

Addicks chairman Richard Murray has said that Alan Pardew can bring in a couple of players (as he wants) but there will not be any major money spent when January comes round, and these funds that are used will mostly have to be generated, so we should be expecting some more players to leave: “We will be exploring all avenues available to us to bring in new faces – whether that is the loan market, player exchanges or buying people in permanently,” Richard Murray told the South London Press.

“We will probably have to do some money raising exercises in order for us to make signings though, so some of our players may leave.”

So Alan Pardew is going to have to decide along with Richard Murray what to do, and who goes. A few names, including Izale McLeod have been linked with moves but then so has Andy Reid. I wouldn’t want either to be sold if truth were known, but if someone had to go then I think we know which player it would preferably be.

Amdy Faye (I’m not sure what his current position with Glasgow Rangers is at the moment? What with his arrest and so on) and Marcus Bent are currently out on loan, however these loans are meant to be for the season but maybe Wigan might be interested in signing Marcus Bent sooner rather than later? This would help.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on Richard Murray’s thoughts? Who do you think we might have to sell in order to buy? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.

I was hoping that players wouldn’t have to be sold in order for others to arrive, but so long as they are the right ones (if there is such a thing with players going?) hopefully it’ll pan out right for us? AP needs to get some players in though, that much is clear.
