Charlton have been rocked by the news that summer signing Yassin Moutaouakil will be out for several weeks.

The French U21 captain has sustained some ankle ligament damage, and will be on the side lines for quite some time.

It’s a big blow to Pardew after the Addick’s number 2 has impressed since his arrival. The injury took place at last weekends trip to Stoke and Pardew may now loan in a replacement to help the Addicks out.

Speaking to the official site the boss said, ‘I have to confirm that we have lost Yassin for four or five weeks at least, and that is perhaps a bigger blow to come out of the Stoke game than the defeat,’ said Alan.

‘He was just settling into the side, and we were just starting to balance the team, with Yassin raiding down that right side. Now we are going to have a different shape to the team immediately.

‘I’m not sure whether I am going to bring a loan player in or I’m going to play one of the squad, such as Semedo, at right-back. ‘I’m reluctant to move Semedo because he has shown that he is just getting used to that central midfield role, and to take him out would be a little bit disruptive for both him and the side, so I don’t want to do that.’

The other right back at the club Osei Sankofa is also sidelined with injury.

Who should Pardew bring in on loan? How about old boy Danny Mills? Have your say now…
