Charlton manager Lee Bowyer has won League One manager of the month after a spectacular November which saw the Addicks win 4 out of 4 league matches first of which came in the form of a 2-0 win against Doncaster at home, unfortunately we played them in the FA Cup and they turned the result around on its head in what was our first game in December.
Another great performance ensured that we picked up a 2-0 win in the Midlands against Walsall. I think this is where most Charlton fans saw the strength returning to the side because we have not had many great Tuesday night games and for us to win with the strength and ferocity that we did us fans could see something was changing for the better.
Next up was Bristol Rovers at home now this game was not pretty but honestly, I don’t mind seeing as we picked up the 3 points that we needed in not so spectacular circumstances. The game was rough and tough there were not many great performers in this match but we managed to scrape out a 3-1 victory.
Once again another messy performance for the reds as we visited Burton Albion, it was our first ever game at the Pirelli Stadium and our second game against them in our history. A late goal from Jason Pearce secured the 3 points for Addicks in a game where we could have easily lost.
I think Lee Bowyer fully deserves this award after a fantastic November and now hopefully we can have a great December too! Well done Lee!
