Mills Deal Complete

Charlton have confirmed that Danny Mills has joined the club on a loan deal.

The former England right back has joined on loan until the end of December.

Pardew is pleased with the deal and told www.cafc.co.uk, ‘The reason we brought Danny Mills to the club is we feel we are lacking a bit of organisation at the back and at times, a little bit of experience.

‘We also needed someone, I think, who is aware what this division is about.”

Pardew has confirmed that the right-back is in the squad for the trip to Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Pardew continued: ‘I think Danny will be important for us and with Yassin Moutaouakil still three or four weeks away it is a good signing.

‘He’s coming back to a club that he knows well. He had an absolutely fantastic offer to go to Leeds United but his heart was always a little bit with Charlton.

‘He couldn’t wait to get back here and I hope the fans respond to him the way he has responded in training because he’s been great so far.”

Welcome back Danny, let`s hope you can sort out the back line and kick Paddy McCarthy into touch.

Does This Mean That You Will Continue To Boo Him Now He’s In a Red Shirt? 🙂

  • alexsinclaire says:

i have never booed him…he made us good money when he went to leeds, and he rarely had a bad game for us….i am glad hes back…

Whenever he returned to the Valley with Leeds he always got really badly booed.

That happens to most players who return to an old club doesn’t it, even more so if they left when the fans totally didn’t want this. He’s a good signing with plenty of experience that will help Charlton.
