Lloyd Sam Appeal Fails!

Amazingly, in my humble opinion anyway, and in no means a biased one the Addicks have had their appeal against midfielder Lloyd Sam’s red card against Hull dismissed, something that I find unbelievable.

Tigers skipper Ian Ashbee had gone in late on Lloyd Sam and then appeared to kick him not once but twice, to compound matters he then looked to hold him round the neck, which didn’t allow the Addicks midfielder to get away. A free for all involving most of the players and the Addicks coaching staff then broke out before the pair were sent off.

Alan Pardew immediately protested Lloyd Sam’s innocence and declared his intent to appeal the sending off, which the Addicks did. However, after lodging this appeal the FA on Thursday afternoon upheld the original decision and he will now have to serve an immediate three-match suspension.

Having fielded the same midfield for the past four matches Addicks boss Alan Pardew will now have to make an enforced change for the match with Barnsley at the Valley on Saturday, a match in which we look to make it eight Championship matches unbeaten.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on the decision not to reverse the red card? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.
