Lee Bowyer issues message to Charlton fans ahead of Birmingham clash

|

The Charlton boss Lee Bowyer had his Press Conference at Sparrows Lane today as many reports suggested Lyle Taylor had picked up an injury whilst on international duty with Montserrat.

Those rumours were semi-true. Taylor has picked up a knock, but nothing too bad and could be in the starting line-up to face Birmingham City at The Valley which is good news compared to some of the rumours we had that said he will be out for 8-10 weeks. Thankfully nothing has come of that.

Although that was the main talking point of today’s presser the focus of this article is this section of what Lee said ahead of the Brum game.

“As a player, it’s better when you’ve got a Valley that’s bouncing, and the Birmingham fans will be singing as well. So hopefully we can have a few more turning up on the day and getting behind the lads because it’s going to be tough on Saturday, and every week’s going to be tough so we need them to keep turning out and keep singing because they make a hell of a difference.”

As a fan, I must say it is a very pleasing moment when Bowyer comments on how good our fans are, we need to keep this amazing run going and that stems from the fans support because without us doing what we do going to see them every week and giving them the support they deserve, they would be nowhere.

This is our club, take pride in the team and sing your hearts out, they are going to need it!
