Lee Bowyer announces three injury recoveries

|

As the build-up to the Derby County game on Saturday begins, Lee Bowyer has some positive news to give regarding injuries as we were hit pretty hard going into the international break with seven in total.

However, now three are expected to return before the visit of The Rams and they are Ben Purrington and Israeli duo Beram Kayal and Tomer Hemed.

Lee Bowyer spoke with The South London Press this morning regarding the injuries and here is what he had to say

“I’m not too sure on Chuks but the other three will be back for Derby, George Lapslie has pulled out again with his hamstring. It’s really important that Ben is back because that left-back position is where we are short.”

It’s a shame Lapslie is still out as I feel he could be a future Charlton captain in years to come and he needs to get as many minutes in as he can if he is ever going to reach those heights.

The return of Kayal and Hemed is good, but we need to see more passion and desire from both of them as they have not exactly set the world on fire at The Valley this season and are in desperate need of a decent performance each.
