The Bulgarian international was out of contract at The Valley and he has now joined Championship rivals Leicester City on a two year deal.

The utility man was at The Valley for 7 years after joining way back in 2000 for an initial £350,000. Kish made 200 league and cup appearances for the Addicks and scored two goals.

Alan Curbishley was a big fan of Kishishev and the fact he could play in defence or midfield. The Addicks eventually paid a total of £1.35m due to certain clauses in the players deal.

He will never be remembered as a skilful star nor a match winner but Kish did his job and usually he did it well. He was prone to costly mistakes and many fans did get on his back but he always gave 200% and wore his heart on his sleeve.

Kishishev only made 6 appearances last season, 4 under Pardew, and he finished the season on loan to relegated Leeds Utd.

He has now decided to join Martin Allen at Leicester City and we wish him well. Kish has probably found his level now and should make a decent player in a championship that will finish around halfway up the league.

Thanks for the effort Kish we will see you back at The Valley on 22nd September.

  • he is a decent player, and did always give his all, however i agree that he is better off with Leicester City, he isnt good enough for the premiership in my opinion, i wish him well and hope he dos erally well

  • He will run his socks off and give everything but sadly it’s just not enough for a premiership bound team. Good luck to him though he will get a good reception on his return
