Charlton’s unbeaten run remained in place with a late winner against Yeovil Town to secure the three points in a five goal thriller at The Valley on Saturday.

Johnnie Jackson continued his recent impressive run of goalscoring form with two goals against The Glovers, including the winner late on when he kept his nerve to convert from the penalty spot.

The midfielder admitted that we weren’t at our best but was happy to get the 3-2 win, Jackson told BBC London 94.9: “It was a tough game today and we didn’t play our best.

“It was 2-2 and we were down to 10 men, so it looked like it could have been a bad day for us.

“At that stage we probably would have taken a draw so to get a winner so late on, was doubly pleasing.”

This win maintains our second place position in the League 1 table and sees us close the gap on the leaders Brighton & Hove Albion after they drew.
