Bi Cyriac Gohi, an Ivorian youngster coming through the ranks, has said that he will be joining Charlton in January.

As part of a link-up with ASEC Mimosas he was actually signed by Charlton last year, and now as the 18-year-old has been scoring regularly for ASEC this season we have taken up the option to bring him to The Valley and this will happen in January and he is looking forward to it, Gohi told Sky Sports: “I am going to Charlton in January, to start my career there.

“I can play in the Championship and I believe I can score there.”

Gohi is using Chelsea striker Didier Drogba as inspiration and hopes he can emulate him, firstly becoming the best striker in The Championship, he added: “Drogba is the best striker in the Premier League, so I want to be the best striker in the Championship.

“I always dream about emulating my heroes, like scoring in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium.”
