Too many poor performances recently have seen us drop to just a point outside the relegation zone with probably the biggest game so far this season set to kick off at The Valley on Saturday afternoon as Middlesbrough visit The Valley in which will be a more than tense encounter with The Boro.
Can you get 31/31 on this Charlton player of the year quiz? I bet you can’t, but feel free to prove me wrong!
It’s clear that something needs to change in our approach to games as we have not looked like a side that can be bothered in the last two matches as we have conceded five goals and scored none as we got absolutely smashed against Huddersfield Town on the weekend after they completed the double over us for the season.
The fans are not happy at the recent performances and they have branded them as “heartless” ” have no desire” and “couldn’t be bothered” however I’m trying my best to keep positive, but with the business end of the season now in our mists, it’s hard to stay positive when we are playing the way we are away from home as relegation is starting to look like a real possibility.
The fans on Twitter have had their say about the current situation we find ourselves in and here is what was discussed……
We’ve set up negatively for the last couple games and it’s not working. Trying to play out from the back and it’s costing us goals. Need to start pushing forward and be more attacking

Stop conceding sloppy goals, stay committed until the final whistle, we concede way too many after 80mins

Go back to the diamond. Flat 4 at the back, Purrington at left back. Doughty needs a rest, and doesn’t suit that system. Bonne and Taylor from the off.

And more often ! #cafc

Never thought of that one before……
Would go 4-4-2. However, it doesn’t matter what formation we go with if the players aren’t committed when they get out in the pitch.

He needs to play 4-4-2, with Taylor & Bonne up top, Green left and McGeady right. The midfield MUST look for the strikers runs!! How many times did Bonne come on and find space. Lift your heads and pick them out!! Also, stop spending too long on the ball!!! Come on!!! #cafc

We were favourites to go down at the start of the season, so go out and play with no pressure!
You'll find that we will surprise teams like we did at the start of the season. Majority of our fans will appreciate that 🙌🏻👏🏼

Think the damage was done in the January transfer window, very little quality bought in.
