Charlton today completed the signing of Welsh international Joe Ledley after it was revealed he was training with the club since Monday and now he has put pen to paper on a short-term deal at The Valley.
Joe has since spoken out about signing for Charlton and speaking with the club website he had this to say
“I’m happy to be back in football and playing again, I want to play as many games as possible, to come here, play football and show everyone what I can do. It’s a good club to be at, they are a great bunch of lads, I know a few of them here and they’ve welcomed me straight away.”
It must be a great feeling for Joe to get back to playing football again after not playing a game since August 2018, it is a real shame he has been out that long, but the question is now can he hack the Championship still?
It’s going to be a huge test for Ledley and a big gamble for Charlton, but can it be one that will pay off?
