Is Roland’s lack of activity a sign of a sale? Or just him being his normal self

|

The most worrying thing on our minds right now as Charlton fans is will Lee Bowyer be given another contract? With what he has done this season with no money and getting us promoted via playoffs you would have thought it would be a no brainer, but not with Roland calling the shots.

Our deluded billionaire owner seems to be striking again and this could be the biggest failure of his entire time at Charlton and that is failing to even bother to give Lee Bowyer a decent contract. How Roland reserves our money like no other after our team have pulled off the impossible and he can’t even see that what the team has done as a great thing, really annoys me as a fan.

Looking on to more positive things the contract talks between Bowyer and Charlton have been on-going so there is something happening, but truth be told we need more money from our owner and to be honest it’s not going to happen, if we can get another owner by the end of June we can hold our heads high knowing that money will be spent and we can tie down players like Joe Aribo and Patrick Bauer specifically and give them a good Championship wage which is exactly what they deserve.

From what we have been going through in the last 6 years to this right now it is definitely the most scariest part, purely because we have just had our first ever success under Roland and it really was remarkable what we did last season and to now be in this situation where it’s uncertain that the man who took us on this journey may not even be here next season is a very worrying factor for all of us.

It’s almost as if we are battling ourselves here because Duchatelet does not want to be part of it and that is taking a knock on effect for the lives of our staff, players and backroom team, also it’s damaging the fans too as we are sitting here every day refreshing twitter hoping for the best, but yet all we get is more worry as every day passes.

I don’t think Bowyer wants to leave, but if he is going to be getting absolutely no help from the owner it’s going to be an even harder job next season than it was this one and that’s just trying to stay up in the Championship.

After what was a momentous day at Wembley, to be talking about something like this really brings the buzz down, but once this is all done and dusted hopefully we can go back to looking forward to the future rather than dreading it.
