Injuries Could Plague The Coventry Trip

|

The Addicks picked up another well-deserved three points against Gillingham on Saturday afternoon, although it did not come without a possible blow to star midfielder Joe Aribo as he limped off with a knee injury during the second half.

The last thing that we need is another injury in midfield, hopefully, he will be okay and we won’t have to worry about what we can do to fix the situation, but even so that can bring out even more of our youth players and with what is an inconsistent Coventry side and also the toxic atmosphere surrounding their home ground the Ricoh Arena, we could capitalise on it in what should be an easy three points by putting more youth in to the first team to see what they are all about within a professional fixture.

With our youth, we have produced some fantastic players and I hope we can continue to provide the first-team with some more great players and opportunities for the youth like they could have on Saturday they don’t come too often for our younger players. If injuries are a problem next Saturday I would like to see some of our younger players take up the reins in midfield.

Lee Bowyer was impressed by his sides scrappy performance yesterday as we have come to prove that winning scrappy is the way we do things and if we keep on getting the three points in some very physical performances just like this one we can beat anyone in this league and beat anyone we shall.

It’s not easy for teams to get around us with the way we play we could look like we are not going to win the game, but we end up surprising everyone by scoring a goal late on to steal the three points and that’s the way we should be playing because in recent years we have lost a countless amount of points for not playing the way we have now, so let’s keep it up!
