No rain off tonight! Charlton were given a reprieve at the weekend when 3-1 down at the Valley against Doncaster in the league. It’s league cup duty tonight with them off to Huddersfield.

Stead looks like he’ll get his first start of the season for Huddersfield. Ward, Woods and Scannell could be recalled to the starting XI but Southern and Robinson are out.

Jackson (calf) could return for Charlton but Stephens looks to miss out again? Cort, Evina, Hollands and Sordell should come in as Powell shuffles his pack.

A first league cup meeting between the sides takes place tonight and if Charlton want to improve on a pretty dismal league cup record of late they’ll have to win an away match for the first time in a whole having lost the last three ties on the road without a place in round three being achieved since 2007.
