A move that hasn’t worked out due to injury, former Charlton defender Joe Gomez could be off to pastures new this summer? Leaving Liverpool for Bournemouth could earn the Addicks a sell-on fee.

According to Kent Live, Gomez is ready to leave Anfield after failing to secure a regular first team spot under Jurgen Klopp, having managed just three appearances for Liverpool this season – these have all come in the FA Cup.

Gomez, 19, has made only 10 appearances for Liverpool since joining the club in 2015. However, during this time period the defender was sidelined for a sustained period due to a serious injury.

It was claimed by Kent Live a fee of £10m is being sought by Liverpool with it reported a ‘substantial sell-on fee’ was negotiated by Charlton when the Reds triggered his release fee.

Should this transfer happen we’ll find out how much of the Gomez money Charlton boss Karl Robinson would be handed towards his own summer recruitment plans, if anything?
