Charlton are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance of interim head coach Karel Fraeye Charlton’s three one victory over Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend at The Valley was enough to earn them a place as gaffer of the side of the most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

Explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Interim boss Karel Fraeye guided Charlton to one of the results of the weekend, putting a halt to Sheffield Wednesday’s 11-match unbeaten run. The Addicks themselves had gone 12 games without victory, so the form book went well and truly out the window at The Valley to produce a 3-1 home triumph.’

The importance of the game was nicely summed up by the Football League I think!

Full Team:

Frank Fielding (Bristol City), Tommy Smith (Ipswich), Michael Keane (Burnley), Paul Huntington (Preston), Solly March (Brighton), Alex Mowatt (Leeds), Jake Livermore (Hull), David Vaughan (Nottingham Forest), Joe Ralls (Cardiff), Daryl Murphy (Ipswich), Clayton Donaldson (Birmingham).

Manager – Karel Fraeye (Charlton).
