A return to The Championship is what Lloyd Sam wanted, he wasn’t able to inspire us to this but he has got that move he wanted after joining Leeds United.

Sam’s contract ended so he was a free agent to go wherever he wanted and the 25-year-old has now signed a two-year contract with Leeds.

If Sam had actually had a better end product last season, even if it was just a couple of times we may well have been back in The Championship as well!

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on Lloyd Sam’s move to Leeds? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.

You may be right If Sam had actually had a better end product last season you could well have been promoted … but he didn’t … and you weren’t

Maybe if you could have scored penalties or even made the most of it whilst Swindon were down to ten men.
Trying to put the blame of one player on your inability to gain promotion last season, sounds very bitter now that he’s left.

What are you on about boys/ Sam is not a crosser of the ball, at best he is good, with occassionally very clever feet, but too many times ended up in a cul de sac. Leeds will find out that he is a good player but a frustrating player…and that’s the truth of it

They will also find out that to keep him wide, they will have to nail his boots to the touchline! Nevertheless, a loss to us. Magic feet, no football brain. End of story. Good luck Lloyd, and thanks for everything. Perhaps, you will better understand instructions delivered with a Yorkshire accent!

Reid will be better anyway, if he signs?

You could be right…I think Kyel looks dangerous and has a fierce shot, and those all important tricky feet, not sure if he has a football brain…I need to see more of him
