Everton 2 Charlton 1

Charlton were dealt a major blow on Sunday when Everton scored a winner right at the death. Charlton looked set to get a deserved point after Darren Bent cancelled out Lescott’s opener. But it was James McFadden who had the last laugh with a great volley 2 minutes into injury time.

Now we have to win on Saturday against Sheffield Utd. If we lose we may as well say goodnight, but the team will not go down quietly and if we do get the three points next Saturday then we can still get out of this mess and retain our place in the Premiership.

Pardew has got the boys playing well of late and Sunday was our first defeat in 7 games. That is not relegation form, but we are paying the price for our rubbish form under both Dowie and Reed.

The Addicks battled bravely and it was only in the last seconds they were finally killed off by a McFadden strike in the second minute of injury time. Darren Bent had only just equalised for Charlton and that looked like it was enough to get a point from Goodison.

Although the loss has got us all worried, especially after Sheffield Utd and Wigan picked up a win and a draw, we still have a chance of getting points in the last 4 games.

We must believe we can do it because I’m certain that will be the message to the players from Alan Pardew. We as fans have got to give the lads the same message with exceptional vocal support.

We must remain positive and try to help the team especially during the next three games, our support will be absolutely vital and if we are giving out positive vibes to the players in can only help us in our quest for another three points.

Let`s look forward to next weekend and a home win that will take us out of the relegation zone and on our way to safety – BRING IT ON!

After watching Warnock’s boys against Man Utd we have to be careful. That shelton looked a right pain in the rear end for Utd all game

Agreed Dave we have to win our next match. Although even if we lost we are still able to escape. A BIG ASK BUT ITS STILL POSSIBLE.
