Here`s someone most of you may have forgotten about because I surely have and he is defiantly one of the most forgettable Charlton players of all time, I`m talking about El-Hadji Ba the young Frenchman from Sunderland who was part of Guy Luzon’s flurry of signings from the 2015/16 campaign which saw us relegated from the Championship.

Moving on from that season Ba has hardly featured for the Addicks since Luzon was sacked as he made just 25 appearances altogether, but now it`s about time he went after not making a single appearance this season despite the drop down to League One which he has obviously not handled very well.

Although he showed promise in his early outings(what I saw) he never really kick started his career at Charlton which was a shame as he really could have made an impact just as any player coming in from a team that he was not getting any game time with and that position that he occupies is a very important one for holding up a game but unfortunately he was not up for the job.

When he signed he sounded eager to get going, this is what he said to the club website ‘It’s very nice to be a Charlton player. I’m very happy to be here.
‘It was a little bit difficult at Sunderland. I was young and didn’t have a lot of time on the pitch, but now I am older and ready to fight at Charlton.’

The word on his destination is an interesting one as Dutch club Ado Den Haag are the ones interested in him, what makes this interest from Den Haag strange is that what would an Eredivise club want with a backgrounded League One player?

He is reportedly already training with the team so looks like it may already be a done deal let`s just hope he don`t turn in to Patrick Vieira when he goes over to Holland, now that would be a kick in the stomach.
