I keep forgetting that Izale McLeod is still a Charlton player because he’s never involved, is talking about leaving (or does leave for loan spells) or is injured.
We were reminded of this fact today when he agent spoke about the 25-year-old and how he’s actively seeking a new club for the striker, I use the term loosely! Tony Finnigan told The South London Press: “At the moment he’s trying to get himself fit after an operation and that’s going well.
“As things stand I would expect him to start pre-season at Charlton.
“I’m actively looking for somewhere else for him to play but I can’t do anything until he’s fit.”
McLeod had an unsuccessful loan spell with Peterborough United last season (following others at other clubs) and I don’t think that anyone will stand in his way if a club can be found for him to leave SE7, however that’s the problem club aren’t exactly backed around the block to sign him!

WHO??? Oh yeah I remember…another striker who can’t score…we’ve plenty of them right now i don’t think we need him right now..
In front of goal Izale has the composure of a gnat on heat. This probably makes him better than most of our other strikers, but still not good enough to play for the Reserves.
