Charlton’s situation worsens as another face from Bury is brought into the mix

|

Charlton are hanging on for dear life after the EFL rejected Chris Farnell and Paul Elliott’s ownership of Charlton which brought mixed views from Addicks fans as even more uncertainty was brought to SE7, however the situation seems to be getting worse as Dave Jones who was involved in Bury’s downfall last summer could be joining up with the Charlton backroom staff.

Can you get 25/25 on this former Charlton players quiz? I bet you can’t, but feel free to prove me wrong!

Who is this?

In the position that is currently being rumored that Jones would take up would give him the final say on transfers and now it looks like the scam and true intentions of ESI are certainly coming to light, but after such a ludicrous decision that could be taking place I doubt this will help Farnell’s appeal against the EFL to secure the running of the club.

The EFL certainly need to get involved more with this one as it just stinks of a scam going on here, the current theory floating around the Charlton fanbase is that Dave Jones has been brought in so that he has the final say on transfers which means he can sell players at will and the money will be going straight into his and ESI’s pockets, I really would not be surprised if this was the case.

Clearly the current backroom staff such as Lee Bowyer, Steve Gallen, Johnnie Jackson and Andy Marshall will be livid with the recent news and in return, the fans need to keep the pressure on Farnell because if we go under he will go down with us, I know that many fans will not stop until Farnell is ruined.

I just really feel for the people who are working tirelessly to keep Charlton above water and now they have people like this making their jobs impossible, I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw everyone leave if The EFL accept ESI’s takeover of Charlton, it would be diabolical, which is why The EFL need to listen to the fans this time.

As a Charlton fan of some sixty years, I’ve got used to some appalling decisions. But for heaven’s sake EFL see sense and let Lee Bowyer and his amazing backroom staff just get on with their jobs, before we lose them.
