Charlton will be one of two teams who will use their stadiums for testing as the EFL plan to bring back fans

|

We have all been waiting for this moment! For one game in September The Addicks will play host to 500-1,000 fans as the EFL test bringing fans back to football game amid the Coronavirus pandemic which shut down football for three months.

Can you get 20/20 on this Charlton Academy Players quiz? I bet you can’t, but feel free to prove me wrong!

Who is this?

Charlton are not alone in this project as Cambridge United will be using their Abbey Stadium as a test site too ahead of The EFL allowing crowds of up to 8,000 in October.

As we all know the fans are so important to Charlton, it’s a shame only a maximum of 1,000 fans can turn up, but it is better than nothing and I hope the fans that are allowed in are the ones who provide the atmosphere in the covered end.

To think that we could be enjoying a pre-match pint in just a couple of months is an exciting feeling and I simply can’t wait to get myself back into the football and the fun that ensues after.

In terms of the rules that will be in place at The Valley involve fans sitting around just their household anyone who is not will have to abide by social distancing rules.

On Friday we will find out who we are playing on the first game of the season, I predict we will be playing Lincoln City away for the first kick-off of the season. Who do you think we will play for the first game? Please post your predictions in the comments!

EFL will deduct Sheffield weds 12 points as from now we will be reinstated in the championship and our first game will be home to Millwall who we will beat if only dreams would come true
