Macauley Bonne is going to be a name that will be heavily mentioned in the next nine games as Charlton gear up for the battle to survive the drop and Bonne could be the star of the show as he aims to get better and better as the season heads for its restart.
Can you get 25/25 on this former Charlton players quiz? I bet you can’t, but feel free to prove me wrong!
The Addicks striker will no doubt be aiming to replace Charlton’s wantaway striker Lyle Taylor and it’s going to take a lot of brains, brawn, effort, and a touch of arrogance to do what he could do in a Charlton shirt.
Bonne has also given his view on Lyle Taylor’s refusal to play as The Addicks entre desperate times where we need him most.
The 24-year old spoke to The Sun about the subject that has been flowing through the Charlton world for weeks on end and here is what he had to say
“It’s Lyle’s decision and we have to respect that. It’s a big blow but it’s an opportunity for myself and the other forwards.
“I see it as my chance to show people that I can score again in the final nine games.”
There could be so much more to come from Bonne and I’m sure he’s up for the challenge, he has high expectations of himself and right now the Charlton fans have no choice but to have high expectations going into the final nine fixtures.
Such a vital time for Bonne and the club, this could be the making or breaking of his career he needs to take this chance by the horns and prove to everyone how good he really is.
I believe he’s got it, do you?
