Charlton set to sign left-back

|

Charlton are looking at their fourth summer signing of the pre-season campaign as left-back Ben Purrington is set to join the club from Rotherham United after impressing on-loan at Charlton and scoring the equalising goal in the playoff final against Sunderland.

I am very happy that the club is spending money to bring in exactly what we need, it was Macaulay Bonne with a £200k transfer fee and now Ben Purrington. Not sure of the exact figures of his transfer fee yet, but I don’t think it will be a lot. Ben is a good player, but I’m not sure if Rotherham rate him that much.

One thing for sure is that us Charlton fans rate him very highly, we lost just two games whilst he played on the left and he has obviously impressed Bowyer to want to bring him back into the team for the big step up.

We are very lucky to be getting Ben back and I can’t wait to see him as an official Charlton player.

Steady and read out in Thailand that the prospective new Owner has walked away and yet seen this after a few minutes a possible signing.
I will not hold my breath for too long as it is not good for our health.
