Lappo is back and by the looks of it better than ever before! As soon as he came on the pitch he made the difference we needed as he earned us a penalty and even stuck away his first Charlton goal for the first-team after slotting in Macauley Bonne’s cross at close range to secure all three points on a great afternoon in SE7.

It was a proud moment for the young man as he made his comeback from injury replacing Deji Oshilaja and injecting a Darren Pratley style into the game. He was applauded by The Valley faithful for his efforts today and it was also good to see him make the famous tunnel jump!
But just after Lappo opened his scoring account for The Addicks he made a rather distinctive celebration as he put the ball under his shirt which was representing his partner being pregnant.
Speaking with Vital Charlton George Lapslie had this to say about his celebration
“I thought to myself this morning if I score, ill do it, I have got a fine for it, but ill pay it happily”
“She’s pregnant(Lapslie’s partner) 21 weeks pregnant so there’s going to be a little Lappo”
Looks like it was a dream return to action for the 22-year-old and I have to say he done himself proud with that performance if he can keep doing what he did yesterday then I’m sure he will be a regular in the starting XI in the very near future, this kid has got talent!
