Charlton looking at young Spurs striker

|

Transfer news has seemed to die down in this last week of the window as we are in the market for at least another 4 loan players, but finally some news has arrived. 17-year-old Tottenham Hotspur striker Troy Parrott is being linked with a move to The Valley.

According to sources close to the club, the Irishman was at the training ground today, I don’t know how true this is but a move for the highly-rated attacker could be one of the more likely options in our situation. The experience is not there, but the quality might be good enough for him to become one of our star players this season if he signs.

This season he managed 19 goals in 27 appearances for the youth leagues and UEFA Youth League and with Steve Gallen favouring players at that kind of level for loans it seems likely that he has been keeping tabs on him.

In my opinion, this will not be a great signing at least until he has his teeth stuck in the Championship and he’s found his feet. After the rise in his media attention with many Spurs fans touting him as the new Harry Kane, let’s hope that this has not affected his attitude towards the game and he plays, well week in week out. Of course, if he signs.

IF you pull this off you won’t be disappointed. Don’t think he’s too far away from being ready for Spurs first team and would be very surprised if Pochettino would allow him to leave, even on loan.
