Yesterday Talksport reported that Newcastle United was the frontrunners amongst two other clubs in Leciester Cty and Fulham, to battle for the signing of Charlton striker Macauley Bonne after impressing in his first season in the Championship.
However now it seems as though Bonne will not be off after all as a source has confirmed to Football League World’s Chief Editor Sam Rouke that The Addicks have no intention of letting Macca leave the club.

It’s good to see that our club is finally holding back on selling it’s best players, even before the Roland years we were still a selling club under Curbishley too.
As a Charlton fan, you always expect your best players to leave, but under this new ownership things like that could come to an end if these new owners are really as passionate as they say they are.
If they even have an ounce of Lee Bowyer’s love and passion for Charlton then we do really have good times ahead!
