Club Director Marian Mihail has denied claims that Laurence Bassini has had his offer for Charlton accepted and he will not be becoming the Charlton owner at any point as Tahnoon Nimer confirmed to him this morning.
Can you get 31/31 on this Charlton player of the year quiz? I bet you can’t, but feel free to prove me wrong!
Marian Mihail also confirmed this on Saturday, however, he was quickly shut down by Sky Sports as they reported that ‘Bassini is interested in Charlton and he will think about over the weekend’.
Looks like Bassini thought about it and shas’ put an offer in for the South-London side to many Charlton fans disappointment.
Bassini claimed to Richard Cawley that he had his offer accepted and it was now in the hands of the lawyers.
Bassini says it is out of his control if Tahnoon Nimer chooses to sell the football club to another interested party.

However, Marian Mihail has now shut down any possibility of Bassini becoming the new owner of Charlton Athletic via LinkedIn, but we obviously can’t fully trust him as this has been told to him by Tahnoon Nimer which could mean anything at this point.
Fingers crossed that this is true and just as I am writing this Richard Cawley is also confirming that Bassini is not involved in a takeover at Charlton. Thank god finally some good news!
Panorama have confirmed to directors that Laurence Bassini is not involved in the ongoing sale of shares.
