Arsenal Star Rejects Addicks Loan

Arsenal defender (and another of their stars in the making) Armand Traore has apparently rejected a loan move to the Addicks.

It was believed that Addicks boss Alan Pardew had been looking at Arsenal midfielder Alex Song, with the view to bringing him back to the Valley on loan again but it is now believed that the Arsenal star he had been looking at was in fact their young full back Armand Traore. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is believed to have given the Addicks the green light to take the French full back on loan until the New Year, however Armand Traore has rejected this opportunity as he wants to stay with Arsenal and fight for a first team place rather than go out on loan.

I had read earlier in the week that he has already said he didn’t want to go anywhere, and although I would have liked him here on loan (as he looks another in the long line of Arsenal stars that is destined from greatness) I have great respect for his decision to stand by his principles and fight for a place, and I wish him all the best of luck.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on this? Would you have liked to see Armand Traore come to the Valley on loan? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.

It’s a shame we couldn’t get him here on loan as the handful of times I have seen him play he looks a different class. Good luck to him though, I wish him well in standing by his believe and his faith in his ability to break into the Arsenal team rather than going out on loan.

He is our only natural cover at left back excluding Gallas so we’d have been crazy to let him out on loan. He is a fantastic player though. In the same mode as Cashley Hole (without the ego) and now Clichy. Well quick and very skillfull.

This makes it all the more surprising that Wenger would have let him go then? He certainly will be another great Arsenal player, credit where it is well and truely due the Arsenal keep producing them, maybe the are not home based players but so what?
