When I first started doing Vital Charlton all I wanted to do was get more people down the ground and create a better atmosphere for our team to come out to and I hope some of you have taken on board what I said in my other article. We will beat Roland, maybe not today maybe not tomorrow but one day we will beat him and we will have our club back, Blackpool have finally done it which means we are probably not too far away from the same thing happening to us if things are starting to change with the FA and EFL but only time will tell.
But this coming Saturday is football for a fiver so there is no reason for you not to get down The Valley and here is another reason, star midfielder Joe Aribo will be making his return to the side in some form when we host Blackpool. As we all know Lyle Taylor will also be making his come back from his three-game suspension, so we could be looking at some great football being played this weekend.
Lee Bowyer sat down with the South London Press this morning and had this to say about our returning midfielder and another injury boost
“We’re getting stronger all the time. Joe has trained this week and we’re hoping he’ll be okay to be in the squad. Pearcey is playing an U23 game tomorrow, so he should be good for selection from next weekend as well, if he comes through that okay. It is a good time for everybody to start coming back now, especially for the big push.”

So looks like Jason Pearce will be back for the AFC Wimbledon game which is a massive boost, but it won’t be easy for him to fly straight back in the team with the way Naby Sarr has been playing as of late, he has been an absolute superstar as cover for Pearce and really does deserve recognition for what he has done and how far he has come from the player he was when he first came here.
Now that Joe Aribo is back our midfield will be a lot stronger and I’d love to see him start with Williams also in the line-up, I think them two would work well together in terms of turning our midfield in to an attacking midfield with penetration and real desire to get the ball in the oppositions box, we have the talent now it’s their time to shine! Let’s fill The Valley this weekend and DON’T LET ROLAND BEAT US!!
