Charlton welcome Championship new boys Reading to The Valley in what should be a fiery affair.
Reading have made a steady start to life in a lower league. They have drawn one and won one of their first two games without concieding a goal.
Alan Pardew’s side will want to prove their worth against one of the league’s favourites for automatic promotion.
Alan Pardew has expressed his sympathy for injury victim Therry Racon. Pardew stated that he thought that the Frenchman could have had a big part to play in the opening months of the campaign.
Matt Holland should replace Racon in midfield. Elsewhere Basey may be fit in time to play at left back in place of the suspended Youga.
Making his home debut big things are expected of him.
Reading will continue with the side that has adapted well to Championship life. One change could be Kevin Doyle who is unsettled at Reading.
Addicks fans will remember him well.
Last meeting was a 0-0 draw two seasons ago. The Addicks went down and Reading finished 8th in the Premiership.
