Charlton face another massive test in their bid for promotion as they travel to Molineux to take on another side in the race to the Premiership.

Mick McCarthy’s side will be looking to secure a win over the Addicks which would help the seventh place side gain some ground on the table leaders, Charlton and Watford.

Wolves Team News:

Wolves do not face any new injury worries ahead of Saturday’s clash against Charlton.

Stephen Elliot is the only player to find himself out of the clash after injuring himself in the International ties mid-week.

Mick McCarthy will have to decide which strikers will make up the Wolves front line with Freddy Eastwood, Andy Keogh and Jay Boothroyd looking to start.

Charlton Ath Team News:

Matt Holland, Cory Gibbs and Ben Thatcher will certainly miss the game with Wolves as all are still carrying injuries.

Lloyd Sam will also miss the game due to suspension.

Andy Reid may not make the starting XI due to playing for Ireland against Cyprus mid-week.

Pardew faces a selection head-ache up front with both Izale Mcleod and Svetoslav Todorov pushing for starting berths. Mcleod scored for the second XI in their last outing and Todorov impressed after replacing Luke Varney against Barnsley.

Match Facts & Stats

Charlton’s last trip to Molineux in 2003 ended in a 4-0 victory for the Londoners. That game saw Paolo Di Canio make his Addicks debut.

In the past four meetings between the sides Charlton have won all four keeping three clean sheets.

Match Prediction:

Wolves 1-2 Charlton
Maybe a little optimistic but Wolves are not the strongest of sides at home and Charlton must take something from sides like this if they are to gain automatic promotion.

The draw against Barnsley will also have damaged confidence and Pardew’s men will be looking to brush this result out of their minds.

You beat me to this one JimmyCAFC, I had just written a preview to put on. I’d take 2-1, but anything but a defeat will be a good result here. Just no late goals conceded again though.

You got one part of the 2 right horseworrier. Disappointing really, we did have the chances to have come away 2-2 but didn’t take them.
