Yoan Gouffran has been linked with a move to the Championship for a number of weeks now with Charlton becoming the latest side reportedly, according to the Newcastle Chronicle Live, liked with him – which has seen the likes of the News Shopper follow suit with these rumours.

The winger is understood to be ‘surplus to requirements’ at Newcastle but Gouffran isn’t overly keen on leaving St James’ Park, where he still has another 18-months on his contract.

Karel Fraeye has already been able to move into the transfer market with the Charlton caretaker boss securing the signing of free agent Ricardo Vaz Te, so he’s being given license to do what he feels is required, so it doesn’t mean it’s out of the question the Frenchman could arrive at the Valley?

If his loan arrival is to be secured before the deadline, on November 25th, Charlton will have competition with Wolves and Nottingham Forest reportedly also linked with him.

We’ll see what the next week to 10-days brings!
