Addicks Goalkeeper Could be the Best

The Addicks number two goalkeeper Darren Randolph has received glowing praise from the Republic of Ireland under 21 boss Don Givens.

Darren Randolph did pick up an injury in the friendly win over Sweden, a match in which he excelled by all accounts, but he is expected to be fit for the England game, and Don Givens speaks very highly of the Addicks youngster. He told the media: ‘He’s very laid-back and takes everything in his stride. We’d have been 4-1 down at half-time if he hadn’t been at his best against Sweden.

‘I feel he has the potential to be the best Irish goalkeeper we’ve seen in years.’

You don’t get much better recommendations than that do you. At 20-years-old he still has as much as 20-years to offer, so if we can see most, if not all of that at the Valley then we could potentially witness something special.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on Don Givens’ thoughts? Is Darren Randolph as good as he says? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.
