An Unexpected Rumour Emerges

|

This is one rumour that has come out of absolutely nowhere, but it is a very exciting one indeed!

Former Walsall midfielderEthan Oztumer is being linked with a move to The Valley after half a year at Championship strugglers Bolton Wanderers.

Oztumer is, in fact, a former Charlton youth player, he was released at 16-years-old and he played in Turkey for three years playing for Sivasspor and Anadolu Uskudar S.K.

Erhan made his way back to England with Dulwich Hamlet where he scored a miraculous 60 goals in 96 games. He was soon recognized by Peterborough United and he joined them in 2014 for an undisclosed fee. After making 57 appearances and scoring 7 goals, Walsall snapped him up on a free after his contract expired and this is where his career really took off.

Establishing himself as one of the main players on Walsall’s line up his efforts for Walsall resulted in 32 goals in 95 appearances which is a great record for a midfielder. His contract expired at Walsall so the next team he moved on to is his current team Bolton and unfortunately for Erhan, he seems to have lost his goalscoring touch scoring once in fifteen games.

If he drops down to League One with us pushing for promotion he would be a great asset to us in that midfield, however, I don’t think we need him what we do need is a striker and fast. We already have quite a few midfielders and Oztumer may be better than some of them but I think if we were to get him it needs to be a permanent transfer rather than a loan, but who knows if that’s ever going to happen.
