From his tireless work rate to his fabulous first-touch, Lyle Taylor is a consistent performer in the Charlton squad and finally, he is getting recognised for his efforts on and off the pitch.
Taylor scored three times in Charlton’s unbeaten run in September and he has been such a hard worker in our squad, to have someone like Lyle bossing the wings and genuinely being almost everywhere on the pitch, it’s time for some praise and he deserves it the most.
If you were at the Coventry game you will know what I mean when I say this, whenever I looked to see where he was he would be in defence when we needed him, he would be upfront when we needed him, but not everyone was where he needed them to be when he was trying to get a ball in, but despite his team not being there for him he held the ball up well with a perfect first-touch every time.
Lyle spoke with the club’s website after finding out about his gong, he had this to say
“I want to say thanks to everyone who voted for me to win the PFA Bristol Street Motors Player of the Month. It’s the first one I’ve ever won, so obviously it means quite a lot to me, so thank you very much and I can’t wait to get back out there when the league resumes.”
We can’t wait to see you back out on that pitch Lyle, good luck on international duty!
